New tricks.

Well, ladies, if you live in Wisconsin, you've just acquired another way to screw with your ex. All in the name of protecting the vulnerable, of course. Here's just a short bulletin on the issue, but the upshot is that your pets can be named on that restraining order you bring against your ex to get him out of the house so you can claim full possession of it, the kids and, well, now his dog too.

Perhaps it's hard for you to see what's wrong with this? I could hold forth on the rubber-stamping of restraining orders in general and how they are used and abused to control the movements of pretty much any poor sap preparatory to relieving him of everything he holds dear. But no, how about a graphic example (from here):
I work at a boarding/kennel facility and we recently took in a German Shepherd who belonged to a couple going through a nasty divorce. The husband moved out but couldn't take the dog with him, so the wife apparently had been starving the dog for two weeks to get back at her husband. He's doing better now (the dog that is)
Maybe you can't teach an old dog new tricks, but you can sure use them on him.

It's horrible the way that the courts are used to be vindictive towards people, and I only hope that those who would use them that way come to no good end.

Considering the lack of concern some people show their own children through when doing some of the things they do to each other, it comes as no surprise they lack compassion for animals as well. Very sad.

The scary reality is that woman who starved the dog is probably the primary/sole custodian of the children. Her actions against the dog won't "rise to the level of concern about her ability as a parent."

Funny... aren't serial killers often/always start out as animal torturers?

Sad sad state this country (and some others) currently have with no signs of changing anytime soon.

What's REALLY sad is the fact that the dog is of more importance than the children.

Picking on the dog. There will be a special place in hell for people like that.

Hi,

I was a happy go lucky person till a few days back, precisely about 5 days back,it was at that time that i for some reason i started reading regarding divorce and tell you frankly i was blown away,

blown away by the amount of injustice men are meted out in divorce, how the courts are raping men and destroying their careers.

I am only 24 and never married, but still i am deeply troubled and moved by the stories of dads who have lost everything in life, this is something that can happen to me or someone close to me.

But another thing i observed is that no matter how disturbing the stories are the mainstream media is completely ignoring this topic and there is no discussion whatsoever.

I think we should get aggressive,in fact very aggressive in continuously bringing this injustice before the masses.

I have some suggestions here

1.Continue blogging as it is good way of letting others know what we have been going through and consolidating our army.

2.Start releasing videos on youtube and other video hosting sites so that more and more people come to know about this.(and tell everyone about this so they can see and spread the message)

3.Whenever a divorce news comes out in public we should be quick to submit the link to social bookmarking sites like reddit, digg ,delicious etc.

We should also post links to our own blogs so they attract more traffic and more and more men wake up before the diasaster happens to them.

4.Last but not the least is a very potent method of raising the issue in media: Tracking down all influential men who have been through divorce and contacting them and making them aware that several such men are getting cheated every year.(ex: Paul mcCartney)

We should contact them in whatever way possible (phone, email, snail mail) to explain our cause. If any Influential, rich celebrity man joins our cause than it would be the single biggest boost to our cause.

Influential men can support the cause by providing money, organizing rallies and demonstrations, they can make use of their contacts in the media to bring this issue before the masses.

These four points should help us in expanding our scope,we should also share these with as many mens' right's organisations as possible.
